Greetings and happy May!

The spring cleaning of our hearts and minds is a good thing. I recently came across a Scripture passage in a devotion of mine that has really been following me. I’m thinking, God is wanting me to spend more time with this passage. Plus, I think it’s always a good plan to spend time with the passages we come across and not just glaze over them.

Just to be clear, this isn’t referring to any political viewpoint, this made me think about myself and my God. The passage is Psalm 139:15-16. “My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

I’m certain we have all experienced this at least at one point in our lives. A time where we are filled with doubt and confusion. This doubt and confusion makes us question if God really knows who and what we are. Does He know what we are going through? It’s called humanism and it’s hard to get away from.

This Psalm was written by David, who encountered many hardships and confusing circumstances and events. He was anointed as a young boy by Samuel under the direction of God Himself.

Yet, here in this verse David helps me see that no matter what, God not only knows me and the struggles I’m encountering, but He made me and has a special plan for me in this world.

He knew me before I was even conceived in my mother’s womb. He knew my confusions and doubts; He knew my struggles and what my difficult times would be. He knows YOURS equally.

The verse even tells me that my name is already written in His book. This thought makes my heart sing. God has already claimed me as His!

Do NOT let your hearts be troubled. God is NOT AWOL. He has already claimed you as His own.

Lean into His loving arms when the ole’ Lucifer attempts to distract you from the great love of our Father in Heaven. God’s love for you is bigger than anything you could possibly imagine. Embrace the God of all Creation and know He tells us that….

“No matter how far, no matter how dark. Your hope is reaching to my heart. You call me Your child, the Light in your eyes, since the beginning of all time. You’re the God who sees.”

This Is Love!
