Happy Fall to Everyone!
It’s a beautiful time of the year and the harvest is almost complete. It’s time for resting just a bit more as soon our days will be made shorter yet.
Yet, this year and especially this time of the year, all of us are feeling more anxious with the arrival of the pinnacle election on the horizon.
We’re finding ourselves at a time of great division in society, in churches, in families and the struggle is real. It can be frightening and bring destruction with it.
Every verse I looked through kept talking about this division and the dangers that lurk there when we allow these said divisions to continue and get larger. Looking into the word is where we can find true peace.
So, this month, I’m sharing 1 Corinthians 1:9-10. “God is faithful, and you were called by him to partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Now I encourage you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: Agree with each other and don’t be divided into rival groups. Instead, be restored with the same mind and the same purpose.”
One thing which stands out for me first and foremost is God’s faithfulness to those who are called in the name of the Holy Spirit to be one with Jesus Christ our Savior.
As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are to stand united and in fellowship together no matter what church we attend or where we worship. There is ONE God now and for all eternity who created each of us and who has governed with love and grace to all who call Him Father. There is ONE God who calls us His child and longs for the time when we will be joined for all eternity with Him in the heavenly realm.
We cannot allow ourselves to be persuaded by the rulers of this world of darkness who come to destroy and steal. There is no hope or peace with them, the rival groups.
Jesus said in Luke 12:51, “Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, I have come instead to bring division.” It is true, the division of the sheep and the wolf; Christ and Antichrist; light and darkness; is part of God’s big plan. The peace which Christ also proclaimed to bring to this world is the perfect peace between God the Father and His children; Christ and Christ’s children; God and the believers.
During this time, don’t allow darkness to steal your joy! Don’t fear what God has already planned and conquered. Don’t take your eyes away from the only ONE who holds all things in his hands. He is the Perfect Deliverer!
Draw yourself to the ONE whose promises are true,
